چکیده
In recent years, nanotechnology has deployed a new set of theragnostic tools, including magnetic resonance contrast agents, nano-delivery systems and hyperthermia treatments in cancer therapy, exploiting not only the small size nanoparticles, but also relevant nanoscale properties such as superparamagnetism. Specifically, nanostructures can be remotely manipulated by external fields, incrementing their possibilities for theragnosis, biotech procedures. Genetic engineering processes involve steps like extracting cells from complex environments, selection subsequent cultivation or modification transfection benefit use bioconjugated nanoparticles. Magnetofection with genes biological material uploaded on superparamagnetic nanoparticles attracted field greatly increases efficiency, specificity speed biotechnological procedure gene transfer systems. This article presents preliminary investigation into enhanced efficiency fluorescent mesoporous silica functionalized mCherry plasmid, which were used to transfect HeLa just 15 min via transfection. method was compared passive (4 h) conventional using commercial K2 Transfection System (16 h). The results demonstrated that similarly effective kit, without need reagents increase costs clinical therapy. Furthermore, viability assays conducted showed negligible toxicity at concentrations up 50 μg/mL.

In recent years, nanoprobe-based devices have attracted significant attention and found a wide range of applications, including nanostructure imaging, single molecular detection, and physical, chemical, and biological sensing applications. However, since the scale of nanodevices is substantially less than the optical diffraction limit, their fabrication remains a difficult challenge. Despite si...
متن کاملUltrabright fluorescent mesoporous silica particles
Recent self-assembly of ultra-bright fluorescent colloidal mesoporous (nanoporous) silica particles is highlighted. The particles can be up to two others of magnitude brighter than polymeric particles of comparable size assembled with quantum dots. Comparing with the maximum fluorescence of free dye in the same volume, the particles can show fluorescence which is higher by more than three order...
متن کاملUltrabright fluorescent mesoporous silica nanoparticles.
The first successful approach to synthesizing ultrabright fluorescent mesoporous silica nanoparticles is reported. Fluorescent dye is physically entrapped inside nanochannels of a silica matrix created during templated sol-gel self-assembly. The problem of dye leakage from open channels is solved by incorporation of hydrophobic groups in the silica matrix. This makes the approach compatible wit...
